[Gangnam Raw Fish Restaurant] Fresh Sashimi Set “Gwang-Sung-Yeon” and Seafood Ramen at Samhae Susan

If you’re looking for a perfect spot for a gathering near Gangnam Station, I highly recommend Samhae Susan.

We tried their signature menu, the Gwang-Sung-Yeon (광숭연) set—featuring flatfish (gwang-eo), mullet (sung-eo), and a mix of salmon and okdom (yeon-ok)—and a seafood ramen that was simply unforgettable.

The star of the meal was the Gwang-Sung-Yeon set.

Each fish had its own unique charm:

  1. Flatfish had a chewy, clean flavor with a subtle richness
  2. Mullet was buttery and soft, perfect for those who enjoy a deeper taste
  3. Salmon-Okdom mix (Yeon-Ok) was smooth and slightly fatty—absolutely delicious

The set came with fresh herbs, garlic, ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce), wasabi, and soy sauce for endless pairing options.

If you’re into seafood, this is one of the best sashimi restaurants near Gangnam to try such a variety in one go.

After enjoying fresh sashimi, we wrapped up the meal with a seafood ramen that featured plump mussels, shrimp, and crab in a deep, spicy broth.

The soup was incredibly flavorful—rich from the seafood yet not too heavy. The noodles were perfectly cooked and absorbed all the flavors of the broth.

Whether you’re looking for a late-night snack or a hangover cure, this ramen hits the spot.

The restaurant is spacious and clean, with a casual seafood pub vibe. It’s a great place for:

  1. Office gatherings
  2. Weekend dates
  3. Friend meetups or casual drinking

The staff were very kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.
